Learn about the problem we are looking to solve and find out why we're terrified of a future in which these trends are left unchecked.

Economic Inequality

People refer to the United States as the richest country in the world. Average household net income is indeed the highest of any country. Averages, of course, are skewed by the 576 Billionaires and counting. Our economy is booming, yet more and more amongst us are living paycheck to paycheck.

These charts compare the income of the bottom 50% of Americans to the top 1% from 1980 to 2016 compared to Western Europe. The effects of this level of imbalance are widespread and devastating to individuals, families, the community, and the stability of our nation (check out our "Why it Matters" channel). There is clearly a need to reverse these trends if we want a thriving middle class in the future.

This channel aims to educate members on the problem we are looking to solve and why we are so adamant that the time for change is now.
